We were set up by our good friend, Lauren, who introduced us because we shared a cynical sense of humor fueled by a more optimistic heart. She chaperoned our first date where Kiyomi immediately offered Landon a bite of her burger on introduction, which he immediately accepted.
Later that night as we sat in LaLa’s Little Nugget year-round Santa, Elf, and North Pole themed bar discussing for hours how it wasn’t exactly like other regular bars, hesitant sparks of not so bad compatibility began to light the fires of future dates.
After spending the holidays with each other’s families, we realized we wanted to get married. In an uncharacteristically traditional move, when Valentine’s Day came we couldn’t wait any more to make it official. We smashed open crystal filled geodes, talked about our future, exchanged gifts that were symbols of our love and proposed to each other to spend the rest of our lives together. We both said yes.
We’re getting married Sept 28th in San Marcos, Texas. The ceremony will be officiated by Lauren Lluveras, who first introduced us. Our wedding party includes our good friends Terry Levine, Amber Herting, Adam Lefton, and Caitlan Lochridge.
